Was Bonk benched for game against LA?

I noticed Radek Bonk did not play saturday, and instead garth Murray was dressed (but did not have a shift).

Anyone know why Bonk didn't play?  Should we read more into this?

According to the team, he has a groin injury... If only we knew the truth.

I can't tell you the answer however all I can say is that there was more to Souray's "groin injury" than met the eye. Julien does not like to embarass his players in public and it would not surprise me if Bonk and Souray both were talked to and told to take some time off and think about things. But in an effort to spare them the media embarassment the injury bug mysteriously appeared. If this is the case I agree with it. I have always hated coaches going before the media or fans to deal with a player's performance. It accomplishes nothing. To me it is not different than your boss having a problem with you. He does not sit you down in the staff room in front of everyone to tell you he is unhappy. He takes you into the office and does it one on one. That is how coaching should be.

My guess is he's sparing Bonk some embarrassment with the public by inventing an injury when it's his confidence that's hurting.  (Although I'd be more embarrassed by that.)  Now that Dagenais has found the net and Bulis has finally gotten that primate off his backside, maybe it's time for Bonkers to get going too.

By the way, John, you bear a striking resemblance to some Finnish guy I know, but I can't quite place you................   Are you dedicating your season to Saku?

I have decided to let you all in on a little secret.... Batman is Saku, Saku is Batman .

No really, I have decided to stick up for my favourite Hab and put him as my avator. He has earned my respect throughout the years and here's a little appreciation for what he brings to the Habs.
