Something needs to be done. I know Kovy and Koivu are out, but we are falling in the standings. I know someone will post hat we are in the building stages and we will not be a contender for 5 years. All I would like to see is a win here and there on the way to rebuilding. I am not sure if firing CJ is the answer. I posted earlier, I also watched Bruins game. They are a changed team. With one fell swoop they improved the D  right wing and Center. Everyone was mad at OConnel for doing what he did. Tonight he must look like a genuis. Especially when the new guy scored forst and asisited on the 2nd. Can u imagine 3 zip over Ottawa

Agreed. I just want a home win. Hearing the crowd cheer tonite after the second goal was the first in a LOOOOOOONG Time. I think most of us can agree now that we can get rid of Theo and obtain a d-man and some offense.

Long run, I think it's San Jose that will gain most from that trade. Sturm has shown that he's not an elite scorer. Primeau's stopgap, and Stuart is a solid defenseman who (like Joe) was struggling and getting a lot of criticism.

Joe Thornton is a seriously major player.

Watch out for Joe Thornton in the playoffs this time around. I do think San Jose will find a way to get back in the running.
