We need to expect.....
Permalink Closed

We now need to expect alot less from Souray to tolerate him as he is damaged goods and may never be able to shoot accurate and hard again! No other team will want to gamble on someone with one good wrist so we are stuck with him. I still think he can help us if he just concentrated on defensive play only and we use him as a third line D-man. Once he clears away his off ice distractions, maybe he'll fill that roll!

Souray's booming shot was fine after the wrist injury, if I'm not mistaken (he missed all of 02/03 with the wrist problem, then had a great year in 03/04 - nothing wrong with the wrist that year!).  It's his knee this time, isn't it?

Nil, I heard Habs are saying knee but infact it's his wrist again also! Doesn't that explain his lack of offensive ability this season! He probably hurt it last season and came to camp hoping for another miracle!

Where are you hearing this, AB?  That's very bad news if true, and would explain the season so far, as you allude.  What's up with his wrist anyway?  I remember in 2002/03 he was "day-to-day" from about Christmas, but never came back.   There's something mysterious going on with that.

What do you know, AB?

Thanks, but I can handle the truth (like Jack Nicholson).  AB says "they" say knee, you say "they" say groin, and you both say it's really wrist.  I'd prefer if it were the knee or groin, to be honest. That wrist scares me.

Nil: Sorry I don't remember which RDS pregame it was but now that I remember back it wasn't a shot off his knee but it was after he took a shot off his foot, Demers alluded to how trivial his foot injury was compared to the lingering injury Souray was dealing with this season without specifying that it's his wrist. I guess I assumed it was still his wrist because that is a lingering injury plus it explained his play this season!

Thanks for the extra sarcasm! I'll believe Demers over you!

Why shouldn't we speculate? It was clear to many he had a wrist ailment in the playoffs last year that was never divulged. Oh I get it, we should only (and automatically) believe what the PR people say.

It is the "groin area". Angelica told me herself.
