When can we say the coaching staff is somewhat responsible for the play of this team. Its 3-0 and enroute to a very bad loss. I know we have 4 out but as far as I am concerned this is also right on the door step of Gainey starting with the loss of Hainsey. 12 Shots and 3 goals Theo letting in 25 percent Pls tell me if I am off base I just do not know what we should do to get this team going injuries aside
Habs forgot to play with intensity tonight which should have happened after the treatment on Sat night. Ott was just playing with them and could have scored a few more. Habs look like a tired, disorganized team. The sad part of it now is they are only 1 point ahead of Laffs who play tomorrow night. Time for Gainey and Julien to come up with some new blood.

No defence? and no Goaltending? Since when is that the coach's responsibility? Vince Lombardi coudl not have produced enough motivation for these gusy with the talent we have lately. If you want to finger point, look upstairs to the guy who was taking notes.

Hands of stone and weak goaltending is a real bad combination and a recipe for a loss. Add in lack of talent with a mixture of uninspired play and what you will get IS a loss.
Lookout, not only Toronto but Buffalo is also right on our heels. Good thing Boston lost again, at least we won't be last in our division come next week.
Bob Gainey needs to get his act together. If I was Gillette I would have a new GM by our next game. Our team has been a victim of the trickle down effect.
We all wanted Gainey he grew up here. He worked miracles in Dallas. He should not get the axe. He and the coaching staff need to have a sit down and discuss the problems. It may be obvious (injuries etc) but a frank discussion of what will be needed to keep the team on track and in the rebuilding stage. I just feel we took 3 steps forward and 5 steps back so far this year
Guess I'm jumping to conclusions. But, are we searching for d-men?????? How about a second line center to take the place of Ribs? There has to be somebody out there.

This is a truly absurd statement. Gainey has taken this team and made it an instant contender, all the while building up a great youth system. We have cap room, quality talent all over the lineup, and some deficiencies that will have to be addressed but are very hard to address: exactly what building team isn't on the lookout for second-line centres, or top-level defensemen?
Do people forget the state this team was in when Gainey arrived?
Yes and every season that goes by Theo Koivu and other players are getting older and more tired. In 5 years when we are contender maybe, Theo and Koivu will be gone. Perhaps alot sooner. Someone should take responsibility but no one wants to blame anyone so maybe its the fans fault
