At both games

Well i just got back from both games, and here are some of my thoughts or opinions.  First off the Buffalo game was awful.  Yes we got 41 shots but none of them were quality shots.  No one rushed to the net, and guys like Dags and Ribs peel away from checking someone or try and stick check them instead of moving there feet.  Was just a disgusting game.  The best part was meeting one of the Hansen Brothers at the hotel.  Oh and some Sabres fans were idiots.  We weren't received very well there.  We can't lose to a team like the Sabres if were going to make the playoffs,  They were missing Briere and Dumont

Now to Saturday night, this one hurts.  First off someone mentioned that Rivet deserved the penalrty.  I was at that end of the rink, he touched the puck before the Leaf tripped. I had amazing view of it. No way was that a penalty.  Besides you don't make a call like that when the game is going into overtime.  You might as well hand them the game.  The disallowed goal??????????????????? If it was interference, why was no penatly called, again in my end.  It was the Leaf player who hauled down the Hab player.  I don't know if they showed it on tv but Saku went down towards the tunnel where the refs go and was yelling at them, Dandenault had to pull him back.  Alot of the players were upset with calls last night, with a number of them slamming there sticks.  Our defencemen need to stand the rushing attackers up sooner, I find they back up too deep in our end.

Just some observations  but these two games hurt.

The question is what do you do ???  CJ is being a gentleman. He needs to start making some noise against the refs. We played our hearts out only to lose to the refs. It is sickening

Barry33 brought up a good point that nothing the coach says will change their minds. BUT! Why did CJ not have that NON-GOAL go upstairs? Makes no sense to me.

I don't think a coach can simply request a video review.  I believe that's the ref's call.

Oh. I was not aware of that. That should have changed with all the other rule changes.

You are right. It is a judgement call on the ref's part. I have an idea for a rule change. Let the coach call for a video review. If the call is not overturned, he gets a 2 minute delay of game penalty. Maybe allow one per game. One thing I noticed last night when it happend. The refs would not even go over and talk to Claude. They were telling him to hurry up and get a line out there becuse they were gonna drop the puck. Must have had a plane to catch.

Similar to the illegal stick rule - which helped the Habs win the Cup one year! - great idea, barry!

Ya it may be a judgement call, but if it was a goal called back on TO they would have requested it  then again if TO had scored it would not have ben called back lol
