We all know Kovalev is our Sundin. When he is out of the lineup we are one dimensional. Toronto was able to get by games with some depth. We have no scoring depth on this team. We thought Bonk might provide a spark and if Ribiero could continue his sucess it would also take some pressure off Koivu. We are usually really bad or really good. When we are playing good the whole team is playing well, we play bad the whole team plays bad. We need a good mix of players to pick up the slack when your top players are in a slump. Good teams find that way to win - that comes out in leadership. That will take time. Until then I think we need to be patient with the players we have. I don't want to end up in a situation where we fire every coach that comes in and we trade away good players because we didn't give them a chance. We finally have a team that can compete if they want to - that took us 10 years to recover from the Tremblay/Houle days.
