Good for Markov but not good for the team. It's Julien's job to "push" the refs around. I did not get a chance to watch the game, but I read a lot of you saying that he should have been more animated.
If you could read lips after the game you would see he was pretty animated. The reporters after the game kept trying to bait him into saying somthing about the officials and hsi reply was "I cannot keep answering these questions because my wallet is not thick enough".
The bottom line is this. Nothing you do or say to a referee will change his opinion or change how he officiates. If anything, it makes it worse. Remember Therrien a couple years ago? He whined so much at the officials that you could tell they were just looking to call something. But maybe at this point w ehav enothing to lose becaus ethe calls cannot get much worse.

Funny, the leafs just the night before were on the side of the habs in a bad call. Tonight the call is in their favour and everything was called right. Even Antropovcouldnt keep a straight face while trying to state what he "saw" happen. Claude said it perfectly, the replay shows it perfectly. Nik tripped over a diving Rivet and Rivet gets the call. Bullsh!t

The problem, and someone said it earlier these players do not know what to do or what not to do game to game. The refs are so inconsistant. It is unfair and the league better take a closer look at these changes. The players are at the whim of each individual ref. I love the call when something happens in front of a ref and he does nothing ,but the ref at the other end of the ice 100 feet away makes the call.
