Souray's return.

Do you think Souray will have a big impact upon his return? I believe he will. Our defense is struggling and he is a strong defensive force. He is our best defensive player, despite how he has been playing. As someone said before, Rivet and Markov are playing out of their roles... I'm not sure about this, but I do know that they will get burnt out if Souray is not playing soon.

I think he might have an impact on the morale. But as of playing skills, we'll have to see how he fares after his injury

To answer your question, and it is a good one, I think it will depend on which Souray returns. I am hopeful that the time off has helped him to refocus and look after some personal matters. We all know that Sheldon (like Theo) has the talent and the tools to be successful. You do not play like they did in the past and not have talent. But an awful lot of this game is played between the ears and right now Souray is watching Baywatch Reruns.

I agree, and I also think some of Souray's difficulties lie in the "New NHL." Along with the emotional distractions, Souray also had problems adapting to the new style of play. He is a physical player, and I think the inconsistency of the Refs make it difficult for him to realize what hits are right and wrong. However, the last few games he played I thought he was more physical. I always seem to feel better when he is on the ice, not sure what it is, but I think it goes back to his glory days when he would shoot the puck on the powerplay and players would get out of the way!!!

I just do not see Souray keeping up the pace with the other players. Yes, he is going through some problems  but when I have watched him play he looks disinterested and slow. There is nothing I wuld like more than to see him come back and be in the form he was 3 years ago.

Hes not disinterested he has just been distracted. I mean he is 6 ft 4 inches, can't expect him to move too too fast.

sorry , the he either keeps up the pace or will be moved aside by the quicker players. He has to step it up. The wide open play has really taken it to the D men. Thay cannot afford to be caught up ice. So if he cannot keep up, then he better step aside. How many penalties have you seen called on a D man because he is trailing the attacker and is called for hooking or holding. We need him as an asset not a liability  And thats my 500th
