This should be a high scoring game considering both teams aren't playing well defensively and goaltending hasn't been great either. Even if Danis plays tonight expect 10 goals to be scored by both teams. This should be a high flying game and I have no idea who will come out ahead. Hopefully being at home will make a difference.
Anybody realize, yesterday loss was the first regular time away loss of the season?
Damn Souray should have just stod there a little longer on the 3rd goal. take a look at the replay. his ass should be sat down for a game or two. if his personal problems are getting in the way i say get him out of thec way. and while I am ploughing thi road Ribero would have an open net and pass it away instead of shooting we are going down tonight and it is a shame for danis.
I have to turn off the game for a while after that 3rd goal... will watch later, as I can't stand to see them play like that... we are better than this.
If the Habs have played a worst period this year, I haven't seen it. I would have been happy if someone had told me before the game that the Habs would put the first two pucks in the net, but not to be losing 2-0 afterwards! And how many shots AT goal turned out not to be shots ON goal.
And poor Bulis brings "snakebit" to new heights! He couldn't put the puck in the ocean if he were shooting from the end of the pier.
Sheesh.
By the way, I'm still predicting 5-4 Habs. Watch them fly out of the gamate in Period 2!

If the Habs need to go through a rough patch in the season it's better that it is now rather than later. If we can play at .500 while Kovy is away we will be fine.
A pitiful performance after last night's lackluster effort, this team is in trouble if they don't come out flying to start the second . . . you're at HOME, play like it!
I would say sit Souray but who the hell are we gonna put in there?!??? I have heard people harp about Streit on the PP. Suggestions please? Not Souray. Not Bouillon, What is becoming evident to me is that this is a team that has overachieved to date and the cracks are beginning to show now. And for those of you who love Ryder...man he has been horrible. I do not feel we have the talent to be a first place team. Blame it on the coach or GM or whatever.
By the way I see Bonk on the PP now. Lets see what he can do. And for those of you who were wishing for Danis..happy now?

I will agree Danis has not played well tonight, but neither did Theo last night. I'm willing to give Danis some slack at the moment, Theo get's none from me . . . 5.5m!
theo , i just read about him he forced and pushed himself last night selfishly to play and he was not ready and lost the game. He is in now in place of Danis. I say 7-0 end of 2nd.
STREIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! WHAT THE *&^*# DO YOU THINK YOU"RE DOING??????
Actually, I think Danis' reaction was even worse. He should have dropped on the puck and ended the play. The entire team is playing exremely disorganizedly.

did you say dospoganizedly my sediments exactly These two announcers from Washington are brutal they should just suit uo for tha caps. Frazer shuuld be happy the Habs lost last night
Habs had a better effort in the second, but their collective lack of touch around the net really becomes apparent when trying to get out of a big hole . . . the game is basically lost, but I would like to see a solid effort regardless in the third period. A couple of goals to at least make it close should help the confidence level for their next outing . . .
Oh yes, this game is lost. I was thinking if they can come up with a super third (somehow) it might help for the next few games as far as confidence goes.
But what is more disturbing than anything, is the lack of effort put forth. If the team was working 100% and losing I can handle that, but seeing them play like they have the past couple of games (with no desire) is really disconcerting. Something has got to be done to shake this team up . . .
lol at Streit, this guy really dosn't do anything special on the offencive end, and realy plays defence at the level of a 6th defenceman in the Q (sorry to insult Q league defenceman with this comparision) how did this guy make the club over Hainsey i mean i understand trying to justify spending a draft choice on streit, but they have to realize they spent a first rounder on Hainsey.
Good lord. What I don't get is why is it so obvious to everyone on this board that Streit is not up to the challange...yet he continues to play???
Also, I imagine at least 80% of the board has now come to the realization that Ribero is a useless pile of ^%$&. Yet he contines to log 15+ min per game.
Also all of us agree that Souray should sit some games out until he gets his head on straight, yet he continues to play( although we may not have a choice here because who ya gonna put in for him??).
So the quaestion is, who is making these choices? CJ, Gainey ???
To me its simple. Streit---to the minors
Ribero--trade or give away.
Use cap room to get another defensman. And use Plek on second line. Maybe even make a deal for Todd Marchant???
What is with the panicking? The "whole season is over" attitude?
Every team has the odd horrendous game or two. We've seen Carolina lose 9-0 then beat Ottawa three days later. Atlanta was getting blown out early this season and look at them now! (well not RIGHT now, because they are getting killed by the Leafs, but they were 4-1 in there last 5 games before this, including that 9-0 win over Carolina) And how about the Leafs? They've been doing well lately, but were totally awful in several games this year.
Wait, I remember the last time I heard this "season is over" stuff. It was right before we beat the heavily favoured Bruins in the first round last year. With a less talented team than we have now (Higgins, Perez, Pleks, Bonk instead of Perreault, Dackell, Ward, Juneau, etc...)
