Well, this may be a stupid question, but are you comparing Theo in the NHL to Danis in the AHL?  Danis has played a grand total of 5 periods in the NHL before tonight, and three of them were well over a month ago, so you must be referring to his AHL stats.  I don't think Theo has played very well this year, but to compare performance in two different levels isn't quite fair, I don't think.

And-O- I hate to break it to yo but Gainey made a choice when he decided to give Theo 5.5 million. He IS the Habs goalie of choice. Not an unproven AHL'er who has won 2 games in the Apple. He has n o choice but to play Theo because they need a legitimate number one goalie. Any team that has any success whatsoever in the NHL has a go to goalie and as I have said many times, like it or not Theo has to be our man. Not Danis, not Huet, not Michaud.

What actually concerns me is keeping Danis as a backup in Montreal... Developing a goaltender requires playing him regularly and as long as he is with the big club, Danis will sit 90% of the time. At least in Hamilton he'll see regular action. Huet is better off backing up Theo for the bulk of the season, and when we get closer to the playoffs thats when I would bring up Danis in anticipation of the playoff run. He needs as much experience as he can get right now. Huet can ride the pine as well as anyone.
