Mario: The board is just fine after some adaptation! I'm only one poster, but I vote to leave it as is. The extra structure may take the fun and flexability away from the posters.
Okay, what sub-groups would like to see in this message board? I am proposing that there'd be at the bare minimum: - Announcements (reserved for GOHABS.com events) - Habs Game day threads - Habs talk - Habs Trades/Rumors talk - Hockey general What are your suggestions? -- Edited by mperra (Admin) at 17:00, 2005-11-15
Those categories sound fine to me. But explain how the sub-groups would work, please. Are they all accessed from the same Board? How would one jump from one sub-group to another? etc.......

Mario -- I've only been participating for a couple weeks, but I like the board just as it is. I can see everything people are talking about, whatever it may be, quickly, and then decide what to read or respond to. I see no need to change it, but if it's changed, I'll still be around.
Mario, I like your ideas to have sub-groups. However, for the people who want it the way it is, is it possible to have an option to display it like this regardless of the subgroups? I think that would appease both parties on this one.

I like the sub-groups because it canhelp organize things a little more. For example - announcements/special events that might be read but not replied to would drop off page 1 here pretty quick and be lost. We've been pretty good with game day but now and then 2-3 pop up for the same game. So I like:
Annoucements
Game Day
Habs talk
Rumours/Couch Coach
Non-Habs
In each, Mario, if you could give a general discription of what each is what. The larger the member pool gets (and it is growing!!!) the more the need for some sub-groups. My opinon.

Maybe a few of us were getting a little antsy for no reason.....Now that I have figured it out, it is really not so difficult....just a matter of adjustment. You are doing a great job....THANKS. Also thanks to Nil and the rest of you guys for the helpful navigation hints. I now say, leave it as it is, but will be happy with whatever you and the board majority decide.
We have the best board (no doubt) anyway, whatever way you look at it. Again, thanks, Mario.

Hmmm, thank you for the vote of confidence. I might just leave it as is because I too like the one group format. So I might just leave as is. Why mess with a winning formula

And this is not a complaint or blame for bad forum cause I consider this site to be number ONE cause here I can read everything what I need to know or like to know about what happens over the big sea. But sometimes when folks are so active this site can be very confused and 1. Topic can be quickly move 3 pages(like figaro said) cause every one opens new topic when answering for previous topic or same cases are analyzed under 3 topic. But do what you like and i still stay here
