I had to put this in a place it could not be missed. I have felt Boullion has been great all year. In fact even last year, when almost everyone on this board wanted him off the team, I went on record and said he is one of our best D-men. I still feel that way. And I have stated it over and over again this year. He is solid, very solid and would be a third/fouth dman on most teams.
What I was saying was that we need another solid big defensman who can take some pressure off of him. The odd thing is, despite his size, he is one of our best hitting D-men( he and Rivet). Something doesn't sit well about that for me. I'm sorry but I can't see him holding the fort all season long. So in my opinion we need another dman.
Komi could be the guy we need, but I sometimes think he looks "goofy" out there. Any one else feel that way? I think he needs more time on the farm to play alot of hockey. That might be good for him.
Komi will be fine, he just needs more time at the NHL level. It takes longer for the D to prosper in the NHL.
Bouillon should not be higher than our 5th or 6th defenceman. If he is then our D are weak which they are right now. If all the boys were playing at their best like the management forsees then the D should be:
I too have been posting that we need another Big Dman who can run the PP. Depending on injuries, I am concerned that we may have some depth problems this year. I think this team can gel if we stay injury free. But bringing in a star Dman can only help the confidence of the players. I remember the year they brought in Don Awrey (fromer Bruin) back in the 70's we went 26 games without a loss. Of course things are different today.

Good to see us agree on Francis B. What I like about Bouillon is that even though he is horizontally challenged, he still hits everything that moves (or at least tries to!). He's also very mobile, good at the head-man rush, and very hard to beat one-on-one. Given that I see eye-to-eye with Yvan Cournoyer (all 5'6" of him), I have a soft spot for the little guys like the Cube.
As for Komisarek, he's pretty invisible out there most of the time, which is OK - the only time we see him is when (1) he hammers someone or (2) he makes a blaring error of some kind. I notice him trying a bit of offense lately; he got caught up ice a few times last night. Probably wants to get the proverbial monkey off his back and score his first-ever NHL goal. He's overdue.
