After seeing Dandenault's slash on Mario, accidental though it was, I am simply at a loss for why players continue to go without visors. There seems to be a rash of eye injuries (Sundin is lucky to still have his sight). It's time for the league to enforce this rule for all new players no exceptions.
I agree with you...hockey players ar edoing nothing to erase their "peas for brains" image by not adaopting them. One thing I WOULD like to see however is some sort of fighting with a visor rule. I am getting tired of Jerome Iginla getting in fights with his visored helmet on his head (does he have that chinstrap mailed on?!??). Not a real fair scrap when your opponent has to spend half the fight trying to peel it off your head.

i agree for Jerome to get in a fight he should take off his helmet. i seem to recall i scrap between Zed and Drury and they both wear visors and they both took them off, thats what a class player would do, soon we'll see a guy with a full fask mask fight a guy without a visor. Oh and by the way Zed won the fight :)
Visors should be grandfathered in. All new players in the league are to wear them. Therefore down the road evrybody has one on. It would be tough to force a vet of the league to put one on.
That would be my plan as well. I can't see a Mario Lemieux or Steve Yzerman wearing one. But all new players should have to put 'em on regardless of preference. Call it a cost-saving measure for the owners... I don't care. I'm just sick of seeing guys potentially losing their sight a la Bryan Berard for nothing.
