After a game like last night, unless Noronen can stand on his head (or Biron again, if he starts) this will be a run-away.  Stay clean and out of the box and it's a sweep.  6-1!  Everyone else is getting blow outs, when will we?

We will get a blow out sonner or later. But do not expect us to score in buckets. Our team is not built that way. Our team is defensive minded as a whole yet we are opportistic. When we get an opening we capatilize. I predict a 5-2 win tonite with Kovalev to have his best night as a hab (he dominated last night and ran into a lucky/hot goalie)

I still don't like the brand we're playing at home! Offense first mentallity seems to get us in trouble. This game can go either way! If we lose, it's because we beat ourselves with poor defensive play! Souray needs to step up and hammer someone to get himself playing like he should.

Kovy was rock'in last night!

And-o's only wish is that Kovy would bury a few more chances!

Anyone else think that Kovy's "cue" is a tad short???

The whole team better pick it up tonight if they expect to win anything. They did not deserve the win last night and got lucky. Play like that tonight and expect to get beat like last Saturday.

we need to come out fast and hard to extinguish any hopes the sabres have of winning in our building. i think getting a few early ones will really damper their spirits and alllow us to completely dominate this game.  i don't think it will be an absolute blow-out but we should win handily if we play our game and capitalize on our chances.  theo will feel he has something to prove after danis win last night and hopefully will have a strong game.

it would be nice to see kovy have a breakout game and notch a hat-trick!!

Nice start so far, up by 1 but we have to now kill off a penalty.

Not too sure what Theo was thinking on that one.  Nice feed, but to leave the net wide open like that.  Oh well, 1-1 after one after the Sabres tied it up in the last minute of the period.

Shots, I believe I saw Buff 14 Mtl 11.

Looks like another tough game to win again tonight . . .

I'm not able to watch this game, although I'm following play by play online.

Two questions then:

-what's up with Perezhogin? How come only 5-6 mins so far? Wasn't he supposed to be on the second line tonight?

AND

-where's Bulis? Hurt? I hope not...

Bulis was injured, not sure with what.

I guess Perezoghin ius in the doghouse for some reason.

Habs win another 1 goal game, nice to get those 2 pts and against a division rival no less.  Good thing Buffalo decided to skate only for the final 10 minutes of the game.

love the fact Higgins was put on the 2nd line with Ryder and Ribs the line looks alot better and are getting more scoring chances. Especially the 1st period where higgins was the best player on the ice

Once again Barry is right. I predicted that Kovalev would dominate this game and be the difference and he was. Any doubt that this guys is a wold class player has been totally erased. What I like is how much he is enjoying playing. He just looks revitalized out there and that can only mean good things for the Habs. I felt Theo played solid last night. W ecan sit and pick apart the 2 goals he let in last night (first one he was playing the shooter like he was supposed to..Bouillon who everyone here seems to be totally in love with did nothing to tie up his man in front of the net). Bottom line for Theo is 28 saves and a win and looking more solid.

As for putting Perezhogan on the 4th line and moving Higgins up, I feel that CJ is rewarding hard work. Higgins has shown he deserves more ice time and was moved up. Perez has been playing uninspired since being demoted off the top line when Zed came back. Let us remember a couple things here. Number one. These are kids. Young. They will all get their share of ice time and goals in a Habs uniform. I believe that Gainey and Julien are doing their best to bring them along slowly and the right way. It is called big picture coaching. And number 2, we now have 4 lines that kick ass. Whether the 4th line is playing 5 minutes a game or 15..they are a threat out there. Not many teams can say that.

Theo played a solid game as a whole, very nice to see.  Hopefully he can put that type of effort in most nights from here on out.

But, I respectfully disagree on that first goal, although I really don't feel like nitpicking a win over a division rival.  We were on the penalty kill, it's fine to play the shooter but not totally leave the net wide open when there was a alot of activity in close.  That's just my opinion of course, the most important thing is that Theo looked more comfortable last night and turned in a solid performance.
