"He's the MVP of this team this season," Rivet said of Begin. "The guy has more heart than any player I've ever played with.
"He kills penalties, he hits, he blocks shots, he always does something. And he's not trying to get out of his element. He gives me chills."
.....how is that for an endorsement???
Now if Craig wants to impress And-o....how 'bout giving him the "A" from your jersey!?!?!?
P.S. Anybody else think that Higgins needs more ice...he looks more and more like a future Captain (or an Assistant) every game. Equal amounts of grit and talent!!!
Personally I would give Begin an A but there are only so many to go around. I would not take it from Rivet as I feel that in spite of the total bashings you guys have given him this year, he has played VERY well. From what I understand he is very well respecte din the dressing room and when he speaks the players listen. Rivet has proven he belongs this year.

Stevie B is undoubtedly the kind of player any team would love to have. Any guy who blocks as many shots as he does and contributes in so many other ways is certainly deserving of an A. But it takes one to know one, and Rivet is performing really well this year, too.
One guy I'd like to see get more ice time is Perezhogin. When did he get into CJ's doghouse? When Zeds was out injured, I hardly missed him because Perezhogin stepped in and played brilliantly. I'd like to see the line with Koivu, Kovalev and Perezhogin resintated, then put Zeds with Ryder and Ribeiro. Let Dagenais play on a line with Begin for a while and learn how to play a more complete 2-way game.
I agree Desi! I also think Perez should be back on first line.
Also think Begin deserves a letter!
Also have to disagree with Barry on his previous comment about Begin only being a third or fourth line player ( Sorry my friend ) but I feel Begin would contribute on any line. He can skate, shoot and his passing is decent also. I could see him playing tough on the boards and digging pucks out for Kovy and Saks. I really think he is versatile enough to play anywhere in the line up. If it's offense, he would play accordingly as he does defense. He has enough talent to do both.
