I like Bonk, but he looked pretty slow against New York in the first game. Anyway, clearly it didn't affect us that much. He has yet to establish himself as anything but an average player for Montreal. It will happen, but it hasn't yet...
Bonk's role has changed significantly from Ottawa to Montreal. In Ottawa he was a first line centre, in Montreal he is centring the checking line. He will never put up the numbers he did in Ottawa for us, if you expect 60-70 pts you will be greatly disappointed. 35-45 pts is a more realistic total, (though Bonk is currently behind that pace, he'll score in bunches, he is a hot and cold guy).
However from what i have seen Bonk is doing his job very well to this point. He is much better than Joe Juneau was and it shows.
