The Oilers are just terrible! Why spend all that $$$ on Pronger and Peca while backing it up with the likes of Ty Conklin in net??? Make ZERO sense.
In my opinion, there are two players on the Oiler’s roster that could pretty much solidify the Habs current roster! Marc-Andre Bergeron is a budding young offensive defenseman who could ignite the powerplay. And, Ryan Smyth…who adds grit and talent to any line!
Since we seem to have a surplus of goaltenders….hmmmmmmm!?!?!?
Thats exactly what i was thinking, even with Edmonton needing a Goaltender, none of the Goalies forementioned are quite what the Oilers would be looking for. jose Theodore might do it, but thats a whole different can of worms we aren't going to touch, because without him we'd be in the same mess the Oilers are in now. so therefore there's not much more to say about it.

Problem is we don't have a surplus of goalies who are tradeable for those kind of assets. Huet is hurt for at least another month. Injured players are typically hard to trade especially with Buffalo having a goalie available. Danis is needed in Montreal to be the backup while Huet is hurt. Price is the future, can't trade him. Oliver Michaud is a terrible goalie.
Edmonton doesn't need to know that! and i have to disagree, Danis is the future.
Superhab, you could make that argument about Danis. But you cannot deny Price will be a future NHL starting goalie, and he looks like he'll be one heck of one. That isn't to say Danis won't be a started someday as well, but to me, seeing them side by side in preseason, Price was the better keeper. I've only really seen Danis play one good game, and that was against Atlanta, who's a fairly weak team. So I look forward to seeing him play more often, but as of right now I would assume Price is the future over Danis.

If my memory serves me correctly, Oliver Michaud is PERFECT in his NHL career against those same Oilers, so you never know.

Im not just basing my oppinion on that one game against Atlanta as you know. I can assure you that Danis is no one trick pony and as for price i am uncertain. i have a feeling the Yanner will be able to prove this on Monday.
