Dandenault vs Brisebois

Im sorry i know its early but im SOOOO glad that what i said and have been saying all these years is happening. How many times did i say if brisebois ever left the habs hed be one heck of a defenseman. With colorado..a team that hasnt been doing good the guy is paired with Blake as 2nd D on the team. Brisebois has scored 5 goals and 2 assists so far this season alot better than any of our defenseman and he has also been a plus player. Our best defenseman has been so far Markov and he has argueably been the most imprived player in the league. Next in line is bouillon souray and then komi with streit dandenault and rivet tying at the bottom. Dandenault has been nothing close to filling in for brisebois absence and i havent been impressed at all. What is soooo special about this guy who all, or most of you all, were drooling about??? Colorado LOVES brisebois

Rivet is playing great! Hes invisible which is what you want from a stay at home Dman. Otherwise i agree fully, i wish Breezer all the luck and i don't really like Dandenault but who knows i might turn around it is early.

These new rules are just what the doctor ordered for Breezy. I watched him the other night and he looked good. He looks like he is having fun out there and likes his new digs!

I agree Johab, he looks better than Dadenault and is playing big minutes.

I don't believe that Dandenault was brought in as replacement for Brisebois in terms of offence.  I think he came as an excellent experienced defender with a good physical game.  He also is a better forward than defender and I think the he is perfect for the role he is in right now.  Brisebois needed to move on, both he and management agrred on that and good on him for putting up points, which is his specialty, not Dandenault's.

P.S. The great thing about living in Montreal is that you go for lunch and you can have a Habs great like Vinnie D sitting beside ya'!

Like I said when we got rid of Hossa and all of a sudden he came to life. Where the hell was he the last few years? Breezer did nothing but fill out a uniform in Montreal. I think that the Habs organization gave him 2 more years of opportunity than any other organization would have.

Maybe it is the change of scenery for him. Maybe it is the thin air in Denver. Maybe he finally woke up and realized that his days in the league could be numbered if he does not smarten up. maybe he likes the uniform better or it is just the fact that he can toil in relative anonymity in Colorado. The bottom line is this. Had we decided to keep him, he would be taking up valuable roster space for a guy like Komo who actually deserves to be in a Habs uniform. Breezer is awake now and performing. Kids like Komo and Markov are getting more ice time and have a future in Montreal. A win win situation.
