Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Just when it looks like he will bounce back Theo let's in a softie(3rd goal.....was he even ready) I'm not one to rag on our players(except Dagenais)but it's time for Theo to elevate his game. Especially with Philly and Ottawa coming up. Ok we still won but...................
Theo is good but he is certainly not outplaying opposing goalies like an "elite" goalie might do... But I always figured Martin Broduer was the best goalie in the game today and even he is struggling so....I for one will remain patient with Theo. Of course it helps that the Habs are winning...
Theo isn't himself yet, two weak goals yet again tonight. There's no way this game should have been that close. I've looked at replays of that last goal Theo let it, and he was with it all the way and attempted to poke it away even. It just slid on the ice and under his pad. Luckily the habs were able to pull one back giving no points for the Isles which is what they deserve. Look on the bright side though, as Don Cherry put it "Montreal is 6-2 and Theodore hasn't even found his groove yet, wait'll he finds his groove".
You know what it seems like? It seems like we have Cloutier in nets. Vancouver has been a good team for the past several years and Cloutier always lets in the weak goals and blows the important games for them. We've had a mediocre team for the past several years and Theo looked like a superstar once. Is it because he had so many shots on net he had to stay focused? Now when our team has improved it looks like Theo is pulling the old Cloutier, I hope it isn't so. Maybe he needs 30+ shots on net to be good.
We will need some good luck against the high scoring Flyers and Sens. I can say we have almost no chance of taking these games if Theo continues his current play.
