Bravo CJ…for recognizing (and conceding) that Dags is just plain useless…and it was nice to see seven defensemen dressed instead…especially given the flexibility of the group in general.
And Bravo CJ…for your awesome bench management in the third period – spot playing your best face-off guy throughout the lines was smart (who ever thought that Perrault would be missed).
And MAJOR Bravo CJ…for recognizing in the first period that Pleks MADE A MISTAKE due to youth and inexperience…good on Claude for sticking with Pleks…he will be rewarded with a spirited young guy in future games!!!
Kudos…Kovy is easily the most prolific puck-handler in the league…I just wish the guy buried a few more opportunities!
Kudos…Komi, Streit and Beef Bouillon are really getting comfortable looking on the blueline.
Kudos…Bulis and Begin…just because the 5-on-3 PK was truly anchored and started by their hard work and hustle…And-o actually feels like these guys COULD score on any PK!
Concerns….Boston shows up in game 6 of a loooonnnnng road trip without their top 2 centres and roars to a 2-0 lead...that fact makes me uneasy about the result for next time!!!
Concerns…anyone else feel sick about the clear 2-on-1 Boston had in the dying seconds while TWO MEN down? How is that possible???
Concerns…my biggest concern…by far…is that the Habs seem to totally lack the ability to blow any opponent away when the opportunity arises! Have the Habs had a 2 goal lead (except in Atlanta)?
Wow, no kudos to Sak. The man who was one of the only players awake in the first period and brought it every shift.
Is there a reason you hate Sak so much? Does it have something to do with liking big men as I posted previously? Not that there is anything wrong with that
And-O- Great post. I agree. I think last night that one of the main reasons we won was coaching (and no not because CJ is a friend..I am the first to critisize him if he needs it). He realized that Ribs was not winning any draws so started sticking Bonk out there to take defensive draws. Also matched the Koivu line up against Bergeron and they dominated that line.
Kovalev is showing problems finishing yes. But geesh the guy brings SO much more to the table. He is so damn good with the puck that other teams are scared and focus on him which is giving Saks and Perez alot more room. I dont care if Kovy scores as long as he keeps creating chances for his linemates. I thought Koivu was awesome last night. I do not know how CJ will work with Zed when he gets back. I say put him on the 2nd line and see what happens. Perez is smoking on that first line.
