The Citadel Inn, Maritime Museum, Mother Tucker's and the Grafton Street Dinner Theatre are all within walking distance of each other, on or close to the Halifax waterfront.  Dartmouth Sportsplex is just across the bridge on the other side of the harbour.  Peggy's Cove is a lovely little spot about a half hour outside of Halifax, on the beautiful St. Margaret's Bay.  Mount St. Vincent is one of six universities in Halifax; it is on the Bedford Basin (I can see part of it from my back deck).

Grafton Street Theatre is a dinner theatre - they feed you and put on a play at the same time.  The actors are also your waiters, and quite often get you to join in.  It can be quite fun, but not if you're shy!  I'm guessing that's not a problem for you, Johab..........

Let me know again when the time gets closer.  Maybe Zulrath, who is going to Saint Mary's University, and I could show you around - a mini-GoHabs reunion (Atlantic Conference)!

I'd be up for that, it's always nice to meet fellow habsfans.

Nil, you said you could see part of MSVU from your place? I have a friend going to University there so I spend some time there, it wouldn't be hard to find you.

I can see the Mount's motherhouse, looking across part of the Bedford Basin.  I live in the far north end of the peninsula, sort of overlooking the McKay Bridge.  I assume you live on campus?  I lived in High Rise 2 (Loyola? The one with the telescope) for four years.

It would be fun to get together with Johab in May.  Let's plan on it.
