2 games in and if it were up to a bunch of you we would be without half the team.

1. Give Souray, Ribs, Rivet, Saku and Kovy a little time.

2. Like it or not, we are in a bit of a re-building period. It may be a bumpy road this year.

That's pretty much it. Also I'm really excited to be going to catch the Habs vs Islanders in Montreal. This will be my first time catching a game in Montreal. Does anyone have any reccomendations on where to go after we win?

We are not in a re-building year at all. The habs at the end of the re-building phase and heading into the "we want to contend" phase.

Gainey went out and got Kovalev last season we played, and has re-signed him. When you are rebuilding you don't sign a guy like kovalev.

The Habs are getting ready for NHL's Prime Time!

I will say one thing. We do have a young team overall (most of our players grilfriends were babysitting for Leafs players a couple years ago). I would not say we are rebuilding but we are certainly not a veteran laden team. We are somewhere in between. Bottom line is that we are a couple seasons away from contending for a Cup. Having said that, we do have a team that will be exciting and will be in most games they play this year. With a young team, that is good.

But I do agree that we have to stop panicking. I still say Dagenais is useless. And Ribs is only 25% as good as he thinks he is. But overall we have a good team. Give the TEAM some time and the coaching staff some time to see what we have. I think players like Souray are still grappling with the new rules.

If I can comment on the new rules. I think they have gone too far the other way. It went from being able to practically hook onto a guy and have him pull you up the ice, to the point now where the tape on your stick just touches the guy and you get a penalty. I play pick up hockey on Sunday mornings where the only hitting done is the bottle in the dressing room after. What I have seen reminds me of that. Players need to be able to at least minimalize a little bit a players movement. As it stands now, all a dman can do is wave goodbye to th eguy on the way by.
