i came away very impressed with begin, higgins, kovalev and the officiating.  begin made stuff happen, and like a boxer that continually punches just above the belt, he wore the bruins down.  i can recall a couple times in the 2nd and 3rd that thornton, murray and gill played the puck in a safe dump just to escape his pressure.

higgins played well also. i think it's just a matter of time before he plays on ribeiro and ryders line, which is kinda sad because i like dagenais a lot.

i like kovalev also... did u see how excited he was on the game winner...who says he doesnt have the passion in him any more?

i thought the officiating was top-notch.  they called a great game, it had flow and they were consistent.  i saw a bit of a let down from the preseason games, but not a lot. i think thats attributed to the teams adjusting.

i was also impressed with boyes, bergeron, and mcceachern.  can boyes play... hes smooth, just like bergeron, just not as flashy and explosive, but more defensively sound; and i thought that mcceachern was the b's best player.  nice pickup.

great win habs !!!

You like Dagenais???  WHY???

...he is a wasted jersey (at best) in the new NHL!

He was just absolutely brutal last night...tragic...and an embarrassment!

When the puck finds him...he has one heckua shot...that is it!

Good call And-o...all Dagenais wants to do is shoot from anywhere, anyhow, anyplace. I cringe when I see him on the powerplay. It's like we are one short. He takes a stupid double minor(we kill it)then another minor.....It showed last night,"If you can't skate you can't play".

I agree with the 4th line being very Impressive but the second period was awful,  too many times did both teams try for the homerun pass and it go for icing.  way too many icings.  the habs looked a little slow for a team that it is supposed to benefit from the new rules.  Bouillon was are best player, Souray seemed to cough the puck up alot and Dagenais had two or three great chances to pass the puck to guys at the side of the net all alone but he shot wide or got checked to easily off the puck.  Bulis looked good also.
